Truth be told, I had to Google the qualifying age for a tween. For those of you who are unsure if your kiddo has entered the “tween” phase yet, the official age range for those moody little beings is 9-12 years. Which definitely helps narrow down my Christmas shopping list so I can be a little more specific in my Google search. I don’t just need great stocking stuffer ideas. Oh no. I need the BEST stocking stuffer ideas for tween boys. Thank you very much.
You see, Coop is at the age where he’s in between. He’s not into Legos anymore, or action figures, or Hot Wheels. And he’s not quite glued to his XBox yet, or going out on dates (not under my watch. Not until he’s 30). More often than not, he can be found listening to his playlist and brainstorming his future YouTube career. Ay yi yi. It makes shopping for him extra difficult.
But, with a little snooping and a lotta online shopping, I’ve narrowed down some great ideas to gift the tween boy in my life and hopefully in your life.

Nerf Elite 2.0 Trio TD3: Nerf guns never go out of style. Heck I’m 35 and I have fun when we have Nerf wars around the house. Add this to his collection and he’ll lose the darts in no time.
Uno Card Game: Always a family favorite, especially around the holidays. Uno is a classic game that all ages will love.
Rubik’s 2×2: Coop loves these freaking things. I can’t explain it, but he probably has about a dozen in all shapes, colors, and sizes.
Family Jokes Game: Laughs for the whole family, and what tween boy doesn’t like corny jokes?
Skip-Bo: I haven’t played this since I was a tween myself. I can’t remember a thing about it, but I do remember it was fun!
Home Alone Movie: Only the best holiday movie of all time, of course.
USB Wall Charger: Coop steals my wall chargers all the time. Buy them their own so you can keep your originals!
Power Bank: I don’t know one kid who doesn’t run out of battery almost the second they wake up. Take this power bank with when he’s on the go and always have a fully charged phone, iPad, you name it.
Tic Tacs: I’m not a huge fan of throwing candy into a stocking but Tic Tacs are the gift that keep on giving. Even cuter when they have festive little candy canes on them like these do.
Big League Chew: Coop loves Big League Chew. I personally don’t understand the appeal. The flavor lasts about 14 seconds, but whatever. I think it’s a boy thing.

Apple Wired Ear Pods with Remote + Mic: He doesn’t need to know these aren’t the “real” ear pods. They’re close enough.
Professor Puzzle The Einstein Collection Metal Brain Teaser 3 Piece Set: Coop is all about magic tricks and being able to fool people. This is something that may just keep your tween entertained for hours, and I think that’s a safe bet worth making. Plus it makes them think, instead of staring at a screen like a zombie.
Men’s Cologne Sampler Set: Coop is all about becoming a man, and this mama isn’t ready. His hair has to be just right, he’s wearing deodorant, and he cares about how he looks AND smells. This little cologne pack is super adorable but you can tell your tween it’s super manly.
Fortnite Gift Card: I mean, I think this is cool with boys.
Levi’s Travel Wallet: Coop got a wallet last year for Christmas and you can tell he thinks he’s just about it when he carries it with him to the store.
Minecraft Dungeons XBox One: Again, I think this is a boy thing.
2020 MLB Trading Cards: Your baseball loving tween can never have too many baseball cards. And lucky for us, we spent the first month of stay-at-home-2020 organizing all of Coop’s.
Graphic Tee: This is apparently a hot ticket item that I have seen EVERYWHERE. It’s a must. Your tween needs it.
Scarf + Hat Set: As a parent, we just want our kids to be warm in the winter, right? And as a boy (especially a tween boy), they resist our every attempt. Try again anyway, mom. I support you.
Spiderman Far From Home: Spiderman never goes out of style, and apparently Tom Holland is the coolest Spiderman ever. (I’m more partial to Andrew Garfield, but whatever).
There you have it! Ten stocking stuffer ideas for tween boys under $10, and ten ideas under $20. The best part is you can do all your shopping online and either pick it up, or have it delivered right to your door. This is one new tradition I could honestly get used to. Happy holidays and happy shopping!
